Abstract

A pyrimidine heterocyclic compounds were synthesized through a one-pot, three- component reaction of an aryl aldehyde, ketone and urea in the presence of nano Zinc ferrite catalyst under conventional heating method. The synthesized derivatives were characterized by their spectral techniques such as FT-IR, H1 & C13 NMR and elemental analysis. Molecular docking studies were also taken to identify the protein ligand interactions and binding affinity of newly synthesized compounds. This work has the advantage of good yield, highly efficient and retrievable catalyst.
