South Asia‘s rich dance traditions, encompassing both classical and contemporary forms, are vital to its cultural identity and creative economy. As technology integrates into artistic domains, artificial intelligence (AI) presents transformative opportunities for the region. This paper explores how AI can be employed in dance notation the systematic recording of dance movements and in detecting copyright infringement, emphasizing its potential to support cultural entrepreneurship. By addressing the challenges of documentation, preservation, and intellectual property protection, AI can catalyze a sustainable and inclusive creative economy in South Asia.
