Abstract

The ADC (Analog to Digital Converter) is considered as a fundamental component in digital processing as it interface the real analog signal to the digital domain. Based on several applications, the ADC is designed for the purposes of high resolution, dynamic voltage scaling and low voltage operations. The signal power and voltage are reduced using supply voltage scaling, which is caused by advancements in technology. Besides, VCO (Voltage Controlled Oscillator) is considered to be desirable for supply voltage scaling and technology advances. To overcome these limitations, the proposed method involves meta-heuristic algorithms to produce stability, reliability and effectiveness. The proposed system implements VCO based ADC incorporated with ACO-PSO (Ant Colony Optimization Particle Swarm Optimization) algorithm, to generate efficient integration on chip design. The real-time input sources used in the proposed system are solar PV (Photo Voltaic) and wind. A booster converter called SEPIC (Single-Ended Primary Inductance Converter) is implemented in the proposed framework that delivers a positive controlled output voltage. Then the values obtained from proposed VCO based ADC are optimised by employing ACO-PSO algorithm, which selects the best solution. Finally, the efficiency of the proposed framework is identified by measuring gain and delay of the converter manipulated by Verilog. Further, the efficiency of the proposed method is evaluated by comparing the results with conventional studies.
