The study of materials and technologies whose smallest functional structure is at least one dimension at the nanoscale scale or one billionth of a meter is known as nanotechnology. This academic discipline encompasses both engineering and science. Contrary to its name, nanotechnology has profoundly altered numerous fields globally. This review paper's primary goal is to provide details regarding the multitude of ways that nanotechnology has been implemented to revamp different industries. As a result, an in-depth primer is provided, covering different ways of applying nanotechnology in modern enterprises. Almost every worldwide industrial area has seen advancements due to nanotechnology. From small scale manufacturing and processing units in food, agriculture and medical sectors to large scale production units in automotive, civil engineering and environmental management industries. With significant cooperation between researchers, company owners, researchers, technicians, environmentalists, and educators, it will be feasible to anticipate that the establishment of nano-based firms over the coming decades will be ecologically benign.
