I began my career in genetics, but I soon became increasingly drawn to the ecosystem around science: how research is explained, how knowledge moves beyond the laboratory, and how (or whether) its significance is understood. That interest eventually took me into science diplomacy. Over the past sixteen years, I have worked on scientific relationships across conflict and national borders, in the Middle East, Europe, the USA, and now across Asia and the Pacific.
